The park is a very good spot for hiking and mountaineering. The bridge provides a connection for the uninhabited Carrickarede Island which is another favourite tourist spots since it has a lot of natural wildlife. You should also make time for the Giant Causeway although many tour operators often bundle both as part of the trip.

If you have a fear of heights, its best to avoid crossing the bridge as the walk is not for everyone. The place in itself in not very well monitored and there are only rope handles to support you.
The Weighbridge Tea Room is a nice spot for relaxation after you are done crossing the bridge. It offers good refreshments and also sells souvenirs. It will take you about one and a half hours to cross the bridge and return so ensure you plan your travel accordingly. Guided tours are available but your guidebook should be enough but if you are planning a hike near the region, then it’s best to be informed properly. Parking is available and the better restaurants are near the Causeway so it’s best to eat there. If you are travelling with kids, exercise plenty of caution.
